冰心，原名谢婉莹，中国诗人，现代作家、翻译家、儿童文学作家、社会活动家、散文家。

生于1900年的她，以生命和文字见证了清王朝的土崩瓦解、中华民国的风雨飘摇、抗日战争的烽烟遍地、新中国的丰功伟业，以及改革开放以来的历史巨变。

1919年“五四运动“爆发，冰心作为员工代表参加了被逮捕员工的旁听会。旁听会结束后，冰心实名发表了她的第一篇散文《二十一日听审的感想》，引起了社会的很大关注。从此冰心开始在文坛中显露。《繁星》和《春水》就是冰心这一时期的代表作。

1923年，冰心从燕京大学顺利毕业后，和当时的进步人士一起踏上了驶向美国威尔斯利女子大学的邮轮。她将自己在美国的趣事和思考用孩子气的语言写下来寄回国内，经过整理，就成了我们现在所见的《寄小读者》。

1926年，学有所成的冰心回到心爱的祖国，开始了任教与游员工涯。冰心的这种大爱和怀着孩童般纯真的善意，可以说是贯穿了她的一生。

“有了爱，就有了一切。”这是冰心的创作信仰，也是她的人生信条。一颗善良、美丽的星辰陨落了，而她的光芒，将永远存留在几代中国人的心里。冰心虽然离开了我们，但她的文字和思想将永远被后世铭记。

      Bing Xin, formerly known as Xie Wanying, is a Chinese poet, modern writer, translator, children's literature writer, social activist and essayist.

Born in 1900, she witnessed  the collapse of the Qing Dynasty, the turmoil of the Republic of China, the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the great achievements of new China, and the historical changes since the reforming and opening up of PRC with her writing in her life .

     In 1919, when the May 4th Movement broke out, Bing Xin, as a student representative, attended the auditing-room of the arrested students. After the audit meeting, Bing Xin published her first essay, “Reflections on the 21st Hearing”, under her real name, which attracted great attention from the society. From then on, Bing Xin began to appear in the literary world. The Stars and Spring Water are Bing Xin's representative works during this period.

     After graduated from Yanjing University in 1923, Bing Xin joined in the progressives on a cruise ship to Wellesley Women's University. She wrote her funny stories and thoughts in childish language in the United States and sent them back to China. After being edited , it became Letters to My Young Readers.

In 1926, Bing Xin returned to her beloved motherland and began her career of  teaching and studying abroad. It can be said that Bing Xin's great love and childlike innocence ran through her whole life.

      Everything comes with love.  This is not only Bing Xin's creative belief, but also her life creed. A kind and beautiful star has fallen down, but her light will remain in the hearts of generations of Chinese people forever. Bing Xin has left us, but her words and thoughts will always be remembered by the descendants .
